The Rev. Dr. William K. Ndishabandi was elected Priest In-Charge for St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church, Asbury Park, New Jersey and commenced work on July 1, 2017.   

 

Prior to joining St. Augustine’s Church, Fr. William served as Rector of All Saints’ Church, Jackson, Mississippi and Episcopal Chaplain at Jackson State University, MS (2006-2016); Vicar of St. John’s Church, Leland, MS, and Church of the Redeemer, Greenville, MS (2000-2006), Assistant Rector of All Saints’ Church, Jackson, MS (1998-200), Founder and Director of the Rainbow Children’s program sponsored by the Bishop’s office (The Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi) and hosted by All Saint’s Church, Jackson, MS (1998-2000).  

 

Before coming to the United States of America, Fr. William held several positions in the Anglican Church of Uganda.  William was ordained into the ministry as a transition Deacon in December 1985 and was ordained into Priesthood on December 1986 at St. Paul’s Cathedral, South Rwenzori Anglican Diocese, in Kasese, Uganda. 

 

Fr. William and his wife Naomi are natives of Uganda and were married in May 1986. The couple met at Kagando Hospital where Naomi worked as a Midwife and Fr. William as a Chaplain and liaison to the Board of Directors.  Fr. William and Naomi and have been blessed with five children, two boys and three girls: Jonathan, Dorothy, Doreen, Daphine, and Joel Ndishabandi.
